Hello, Long Branch families,

This message contains important information about Divisionals, our final meet of the season. If your swimmer is participating, please read this message carefully.

Divisionals will be held at North Creek Pool, 20125 Arrowhead Rd., Montgomery Village, MD 20886. The pool is about a 40-minute drive from Long Branch.

Swimmers from all six teams in Division K will be participating in the meet, so there will be many cars looking for parking. The North Creek pool parking lot will be partially reserved for meet volunteers who have a meet parking pass. Please do not try to park in the reserved section! If the pool lot is full when you arrive, swimmers may be dropped off at the pool before you look for parking.

Parking: The remainder of the pool parking lot is available on a first-come basis. Parking along the curb inside the parking lot is allowed once all spaces are filled. (See the green lines on parking map attached.) Additional overflow parking is available along Arrowhead Road, in the Shadow Oak lot, and at the Apple Ridge Ballfield lot(overflow parking map attached).

It is about a 7-minute walk from the Apple Ridge Ballfield lot, which is the parking location furthest from the pool. Because we are slated for the last warmup slot, you may find you will need to park there, so please give yourself ample time to park and find our team area at the pool before our warmups and volunteer briefings (listed below).

Pool entrance: Please enter the pool using the gates located between the North Creek Community Center and the parking lot.

Team area: Our team areawill be on the far side of the pool deck underneath the orange umbrella near the slide.

Theme: Blue and White

Long Branch warmups are from 7:25-7:45 am. Please plan to arrive no later than 7:05 am to find parking, arrive at the pool, get settled in the team area, and give your swimmer time to prepare for warmups.

Volunteer Meetings: Please be on time for these meetings if you are volunteering in this capacity.

• Referee & Chief Judge meeting: 7:00 am
• S&T briefing: 7:15 am
• Timer & Take-off Judge meeting: 7:30 am
• Scratch meeting: 7:40 am

Concessions: North Creek will have an assortment of food and drink items for sale, including breakfast and lunch foods. Cash only.

During the break, swimmers and families are welcome to enter the non-competition part of the pool to cool off, so bring your bathing suits!

Saturday will be cloudy and sticky. Hopefully the bad weather will hold off until after the meet ends. There should be plenty of seating in our team area and in the spectator area.

We’ll gather at Red Robin (20001 Century Blvd, Germantown, MD 20874) for team lunch after Divisionals concludes. Please RSVP if you plan to attend so I can give Red Robin a rough head count for our group. If the Red Robin air conditioning is not functioning when we arrive, we will select an alternate location nearby.

As a reminder:

• Continue to exhibit excellent sportsmanship. We love seeing all the handshakes at the end of events!
• Let the swimmers SWIM. Let the coaches COACH. Let the officials OFFICIATE. Let the spectators BE POSITIVE.
• Eat a healthy dinner, drink lots of water, and get a good night’s sleep on Friday so you’re well rested and ready to compete on Saturday.
